This is a pendant made with a wee Scottish Highland Marble cabochon. With the hammered patinated copper wrapped bail and setting, it is approximately 62 mm / 2.45 inches long.
Highland Marble is mined by hand (and dived for!) in the the Scottish Highlands and the West coast islands. Over 800 million years ago, limestone was formed under the oceans of Scotland. As plant life of the time died and settled on the sea bed the life-sustaining chlorophyll from these plants, coupled with the metamorphosis of the limestone, resulted in what we now know as Scottish Marble. The pendant will arrive in either a gift box or a small gift bag, depending on size, and comes with a necklace. Generally, we have 18" waxed cord necklaces (black and multiple earthy colors), 18" silver-tone, 18" bronze-tone and 20" silver-tone. If you have a preference for packaging or necklace, please indicate this in the comments section of your order. Otherwise, we will choose the option we feel best suits the pendant.
